Georgia Football Weekend 2021 – Week 9
This week there are a lot of big rivalry games taking place in the world of college football. As we are deep into the season and now it’s starting to matter in who is going to make the College Football Playoff. Georgia is holding strong as the #1 team in the nation while Georgia Tech is holding on to bowl hopes.
Both Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech come into this game with 3-4 records and would like to leave this game .500 and take that momentum into the rest of the season. Both teams have lost some heartbreakers this season. Virginia Tech over the last 4 games have faired a little worse than the Yellowjackets. A win today would pull Georgia Tech to even in the ACC and have them in position for strong finish. Playing at home with the most dynamic quarterback should give Georgia Tech the edge.
Prediction: Georgia Tech 34 Virginia Tech 24

Georgia State and Georgia Southern are both having seasons that they wish were better. State is doing a little better and at least they didn’t have to change coach’s mid-season. Some of the numbers might give Georgia State a slight edge as the 3-4 team faces their 2-5 rivals. State may have more of an edge than the raw number show. They have won 2 games in a row and gave Auburn all they could handle earlier this season.
Prediction: Georgia State 30 Georgia Southern 17

The #1 team in the nation is facing off against heated SEC East Rival Florida in The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party. Florida has had a less than desirable season with 3 losses so far but that doesn’t mean much in rivalry games. Georgia is coming in with a generationally dominant defense. The Dawgs have only allowed a total of 4 touchdowns all season. With hopes of winning their first National Title in 40 years, Kirby’s bunch cannot afford a slip up against the Gators. Even with JT Daniels still out the Bulldogs are still in good shape.
Prediction: Georgia 34 Florida 10
