Georgia Football Weekend 2020 – Week 9
The college football season has added some conferences to the slate. The MAC and PAC12 have entered the foray of this crazy 2020 season. In local action, Georgia Tech gets a week off to lick their wounds after a tough slate. UGA will head to Jacksonville for their annual tilt against Florida, while Georgia State and Georgia Southern both face Sun Belt Conference action.
Georgia State returns to action after getting roughed up by Coastal Carolina. The Panthers will host the Warhawks of Louisiana-Monroe. The Warhawks are winless this season and only averaging a weak 13 points per game. The Panthers high powered offense was shutout last week but shouldn’t have that kind of trouble against UofL-Monroe who is giving up 35 points per game this season.
Prediction: Georgia State 34 UofL-Monroe 10

The Eagles will be hosting the Trojans of Troy University this week. Troy comes into this game 4-2 with a record of 2-1 in conference play. Both Troy and Georgia Southern see this as a big game in their aspirations of challenging for the Sun Belt crown. Even with Coastal Carolina running through everyone there is still a lot of season left. Troy is scoring 32 points a game but giving up 25. The Trojans are 3 point favorites on the road but will have a tough time if the Eagles get rolling.
Prediction: Georgia Southern 27 Troy 24

#5 Georgia vs #8 Florida
Georgia heads down to Jacksonville for the annual big game against Florida. Dan Mullen hopes that this will be the time that the Gators break through as Georgia has owned this one as of late. Kirby Smart plans on keeping the train running and getting a rematch with Alabama. This game as usual has huge SEC Title game implications as this game will give one of these teams a big edge in the SEC East. Florida will try to throw the ball as they have their QB in place. Kyle Trask has thrown 18 touchdowns against 2 interceptions this season. The Dawgs are still strong on defense and will hope to get more of the performance they got last week when they held Kentucky to 3 points. Stetson Bennett will have to play well and not turn the ball over.
Prediction: Georgia 28 Florida 24
