Georgia Football Weekend 2020 – Week 5

This week there is only one Saturday game for the Georgia Football weekend. Georgia State and Georgia Southern both have the week off and it was a scheduled week off. The Yellow Jackets played last night on ESPN and rolled up 46 points in a big win at home against Louisville. Georgia Tech is sitting at .500 with a 2-2 record and 2-1 in the ACC. Hopefully the young Quarterback Sims will continue to improve as the rebuild continues. The only Saturday game will be a 3:30pm tilt for UGA.

#3 Georgia vs #14 Tennessee

Georgia will host SEC East rival Tennessee at Sanford Stadium today. The Dawgs rolled over Auburn last week and may have their starter at QB in Stetson Bennett. This game will be a little tougher as Tennessee has something to prove under 3rd year Coach Jeremy Pruitt. Pruitt a former UGA Defensive Coordinator would love nothing more to take to Georgia and announce themselves as a player in the Eastern Division.

Tennessee enters the game with the nation’s longest win streak at 7 games. The Volunteers have not lost since October 19th, of last year at Alabama. As good as they have been and as strong as a team Pruitt is building it still may not be enough against Georgia. Despite the Bulldogs working out their QB situation, they are still loaded at every position. Even after retooling the offensive line they are still sending top recruits out there. In their early test Georgia has shown some struggles getting started but eventually was able to overwhelm their opponents. Kearis Jackson has emerged as another threat at receiver to complement George Pickens. Expect the defense to still be strong and not give up much to the Volunteers today. Georgia is favored by 12.5 at home but this game should be a little closer than that.
Prediction: Georgia 30 Tennessee 24
Watch On: CBS @3:30pm
