The NBA’s Greatest Champion Passes Away
Bill Russell was a literal and figurative giant in the world. He was the greatest champion ever in the NBA. No player has won more championships than Russell and probably never will. Not only was he an 11-time Champion but also the best player on those teams. His Celtics teams made that franchise what it is today.
This past weekend the world had to say goodbye to Mr Russell as he passed away at 88 years of age. Russell’s legacy isn’t that simply of a basketball superstar but a pioneer in the game and an activist who helped make the world a better place.
Russell was a hero to many and won every award someone could win in basketball. Multiple time champion and MVP and the first black Superstar in the NBA. He was also the first black head coach and first black coach to win a championship. Serving as a player and coach he won the final to championships of his career. He was constant reminder of excellence who will forever be remember for his enormous impact on and off the floor.
