Georgia Football Weekend 2022 – Week 7

Last week both of the Atlanta football teams got wins. Georgia State defeated Georgia Southern in the battle of the Sun Belt teams from GA. The Panthers might be on a roll and looking like the team they were predicted to be before the season started. They will enjoy a weekend off before a big Thursday night match up against App State.

Georgia Tech has found themselves on a roll since interim Head Coach Brent Day has taken over. After stunning Pitt on the road, the Jackets made the homecoming crowd happy by downing the Duke Blue Devils. Tech is now 3-3 with a slate of winnable games ahead of them. This team may actually see a bowl if they keep this up.

Its homecoming between the hedges and Georgia appears to be back in form. After defeating Auburn last week 42-10, it looks like the Dawgs have woken up from their previous weeks’ struggles. Vanderbilt comes into this game after two blowout losses to SEC opponents. Georgia has won the last four games against Vanderbilt and are 20-4 when they schedule the Commadores for homecoming. Expect Georgia to keep the volume up after that scare against Missouri.

Prediction: Georgia 42 Vanderbilt 7

Georgia Southern took it on the chin last week against Georgia State. Unfortunately, this week it doesn’t get any easier as they face James Madison. The Dukes, have moved up from FCS and appear to be able to hold their own on the FBS level. Currently #25 in the country and scoring at high clip they will be hard to stop. Georgia Southern has not looked that great in the last 2 weeks and even though they are at home they are still 13-point underdogs to James Madison.

Prediction: James Madison 30 Georgia Southern 10
