Georgia Football Weekend 2018 – Week 9
Last week both Georgia and Georgia Tech enjoyed a week off. With both teams taking time to re-calibrate and prepare for the backside of the 2018 season. Both schools are back in in action this week as they try to complete successful campaigns.
Both of these squads had the week off last weekend want to bring some stability to their up and down seasons. Virginia Tech is 3-0 in ACC competition and is still in first place in the Coastal Division. They are team that is hard to figure out as they beat #22 Duke but also is the same team that lost to Old Dominion. Georgia Tech on the other hand lost to Duke due to them literally fumbling away the game.
When Georgia Tech has been good this year, they have been good. When they have been bad, they have been very bad. Going on the road for Thursday Night game at Lane Stadium, do not expect more of the good this week.
Prediction: Virginia Tech 27 Georgia Tech 21

Georgia Southern makes their first appearance in our weekend preview. It is official that the Eagles are back, sitting a strong 6-1 and looking to make a run at the Sun Belt Title. They are hosting the #25 Mountaineers from Appalachian State. Both of these team’s single losses came against teams that were, ranked in the power 5 when they played them.
Georgia Southern’s revival can be traced to dual-threat Sophomore Quarterback Shai Werts. Werts has a combined 13 touchdowns this season 4 passing and 9 rushing. The Eagles are 11 point underdogs at home against a stout Mountaineer defense that is only allowing 15 points per game.
Prediction: Georgia Southern 27 App State 24
