Georgia Football Weekend 09/17/16
This Saturday there is another full slate of big time college football games around the state. No school has a walk through this week and all should expect to be challenged.
This week down on the Flats the Yellow Jackets welcome some SEC competition. They will face Vanderbilt at 12:30pm. The Commodores are coming off a strong 47-24 win against Middle Tennessee State and hope to put something together. Georgia Tech plans on trying to keep a zero in the loss column before heading into the ACC season. The key for Paul Johnson’s club will be stopping Vandy’s Ralph Webb who rushed for 211 yards last week. If they can shut down that running game they shouldn’t have too many problems from a quarterback who only has 186 yards passing for the season. The Jackets are 4.5 point favorites and should be with the number 2 rushing offense in the nation.
Prediction:GT 24 Vandy 17
This week the Bulldogs travel to Columbia, MO to take on the Tigers of Missouri. This will be the Dawgs first SEC test of the season. After a close scrape with Nicholls State the Bulldogs should comeback focused and play like a top 25 team. Missouri will try to throw the ball around but UGA should be able to contain that and then give them heavy doses of Chubb.
Prediction: Georgia 27 Missouri 17
