Georgia Football Weekend 09/10/16
The first weekend of Georgia college football kicked off with a bang. Both of the big boy schools in the state kicked off with marquee games. Georgia Tech flew across the pond to Ireland and was able to hold Boston College at bay. The Dawgs opened up the last football season in the Georgia Dome with a strong performance against the Tarheels of North Carolina.
Both teams should not be nearly has concerned with this week’s match-ups but still fun to watch for fans. Here are the KLS predictions.
Well there is not you need to know about Nicholls State. This is their 1st game of the season and there were 3-8 last year in FCS (Divison 1AA). Highly touted freshman Jacob Eason will start for the Dawgs but you might want to tune in early because he will not play long today. Bright side if you are family or friends to anyone on the team you will probably get to see them play today. Nick Chubb is back but rest assured he won’t be repeating his 30 carry performance either. Now he might get close to 200 yards on the 10 touches he does get.
Prediction: UGA 60 Nicholls 7
The Mercer Bears have been back in the football game for about four years. They hope to inject some life into their renewed program with a good showing in Atlanta at Georgia Tech today. The Yellow Jackets hope to keep the keep the winning rolling after scrapping by with a 3 point win against Boston College last week. Today’s game will be the first meeting of the two Georgia schools since 1938. Georgia Tech won that last meeting 19-0, you probably should expect a similar result 78 years later.
Prediction: Georgia Tech 24 Mercer 10
