Fantasy Football Journal – Week 2
This week the Fantasy Journal is a little late. We were not as successful as week 1 but I will take 2-2 overall for the week. I have never finished a fantasy football season undefeated so I know losses will come. Basically I split both Yahoo and ESPN leagues last week. The standout star for me was Antonio Brown and maybe the best Fantasy pick I have made in all four leagues. What I have learned this season is that receivers will get me to the promise land. There was a time it was all running backs and don’t get me wrong if you can get a good one take him but receiver is where it’s at.
The league has become more passing oriented so there are more high scoring fantasy quarterbacks and receivers out there. The point per reception leagues also create major value at the position.
This week’s projections will some overachieving by the teams I have out there. The Thursday night game every week changes things because you have to be ready on Wednesday night for the week. In the Jackson State ESPN I already had 2 players active on Thursday night that only produced 4 points so I am going to need an amazing Sunday there. That league is particularly important to me because I actually see these people in real life.
This week I will start searching for hidden gems on the waiver wire. Just picked up Lions TE Eric Ebron in one of my Yahoo Leagues. That spot was one of weakness for me along with running back on a few of the teams. As for now time to see how this week plays out.
