Brett Farve Maybe a Public Menace

There is some smoke down in the state of Mississippi. Right now, we are in the middle of the largest corruption case in that state’s history. To catch everyone up there is believed to be roughly $77 million that was misused or stolen from the state’s welfare fund. Yes, the welfare for poor families, that happen to be in the most impoverished state in the Union.

This massive corruption involves politicians that go all the way up to the former governor and a few celebrities in the state. The reporting on this started a few years ago and names like Ted Dibiase “The Million Dollar Man” of pro wrestling fame were named in this. No name loomed larger than the former Quarterback from Kiln, MS. Brett Farve not only maybe the most famous name in all of this mess, but he also may be one of the worst participants.

Now Farve does maintain his and these are currently allegations until he is convicted. That all being said Brett must had failed to understand is that a state officials’ text can be called into the public space. Starting 2017 Brett was seeking funds to help his alma mater Southern Mississippi University build a volleyball facility. Farve’s daughter was on the team at the time. So yes, not only are we robbing poor people but its so his kid can have a nice place to play volleyball.

So not only was he working various state officials, but Phil Bryant was the acting Governor of the state at the time all of this was going on and assisting Farve with this. This is really appalling considering this is usually the crowd likes to tell people to “pull yourself up by your bootstraps”. This is consistent with attitudes that demonize the poor and treat these programs as people who are getting something for nothing.

It is believed that Farve took somewhere in the area of $5 million to get his goal accomplished along with seeking another $1 million to update the school’s football facilities to try to attrack current Jackson State star Shedeur Sanders. The crazy thing is, Farve’s net worth is believed to be in the $100 million range. He has current endorsement deals that pay him, so why did he need to try to take money from the needy?

Some of the other details in is this scandal are what maybe drive Farve from felonious criminal to down right public menace. Having the money wasn’t appartley good enough, but he may not have wanted to kick on the labor cost either. Farve floated out the idea of using prison labor to help build the lockerrooms. Prison labor is controversial at best and some people see it as downright human rights violation. I guess If you already stealing from poor people why not try to get some borderline slave labor involved too.

Now if all those details were not enough the latest in Farve Gate scandal is that he may have funnelled $130,000 from a charity that he has. Farve 4 Hope is a charity the supports disabled children and women with breast cancer. Tax documents show that he took money from the charity to also sent to the University. Because its never enough and appartently anybody can get it in this man’s path of destruction. Who knows what else is left to drop out of this mess and it is actually even scary to ponder.
