Georgia Football Weekend Preview 11/01 – Coming Home

Buzz Mascot

This weekend is a short preview of football around the state of Georgia. The Falcons have the week off to lick their wounds after the debacle in London against the Lions. The Eagles continue to soar at Georgia Southern with a dominant win against Troy on Thursday night. Saturday leaves us with a big weekend still as the Yellowjackets have homecoming and UGA prepares for the big Florida game.

Georgia Tech vs Virginia

GT vs UVA

The Jackets have ended their slide and beat Pitt last week like a drum. This week is homecoming and they are playing the Virginia Cavaliers who cannot seem to be consistent from week to week. They are on a 2 game slide after losing to both Duke and UNC like the Jackets did in consecutive weeks. This is a game that the Jackets should win but so were Duke and UNC. With both teams having 2 losses in the Coastal Division it is important to get a win to try to keep pace in the race to make it to the ACC title game. Georgia Tech should keep their focus and take care of business down on the Flats.
Prediction: Ga Tech 34 UVA 24

Georgia vs Florida

UGA vs UFL

The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party is back upon us again. Yes, I still call the game that because I am not politically correct and changing a name isn’t going to keep college kids from drinking. Also if you spent the weekend Jacksonville, you would have to be drunk too. As I digress let’s talk football. The Dawgs will be without Gurley as the NCAA has tacked on 2 games to his suspension. UGA has still maintained powerhouse run game and won soundly since their star has been gone. Florida is hoping that this rivalry game will go like others where the records may not matter. Will Muschamp is still trying to hold on to what’s left of his job and the team is trying to salvage their season. A win against the 11th rank Bulldogs will be a push in the right direction. The Georgia defense has appeared to catch on to what new coordinator Jeremy Pruitt is trying to teach. Georgia has dominated this rivalry and in the past few years and will continue their run.
Prediction: UGA 37 UF 14
