Georgia Football Weekend 10/31/15

GT Return

We are well past the halfway point in the football season and now it’s time to figure out where you want to be in January or even if you are going to have a game to play then. The Bulldogs still have a chance at winning the SEC East but it all rides on this next game against Florida. Tech saved its season last week with a surprising win against another team from the Sunshine State. Now a team that we thought may not win another game has turn into a team that may not lose another one.

Georgia vs Florida

UGAvsUFA

Georgia and Florida both have had the week off to figure out that they need to both really win this game. Florida still has a shot at the playoff and Georgia still has a shot at winning the SEC East, both dreams can end with a loss. So this year the Halloween version of the Cocktail Party is shaping up to be interesting.

The good news for the Dawgs is that they will be facing the Gators backup quarterback, the bad news it’s the same guy who beat them last year. Treon Harris will be pulling the trigger for the Florida offense while Will Grier is suspended. The stout Gator defense will be overwhelming for a UGA program who is without their star running back and what has proven to be not that good of a quarterback.

Prediction: Florida 24 Georgia 14

Georgia Tech vs Virginia

UVAvsGT

The Jackets are coming off an emotional win against a top ten team. How do they respond? This is a team that had me wondering if they were going to win another game this year. After the pick me up at homecoming I am now wondering if they are going to lose another game. The schedule Gods are working in their favor and Tech consecutive bowl streak still has life.

Tech goes on the road to take on a Virginia team that doesn’t do anything too good. They are 106th in scoring defense and 93rd in scoring offense. They are 2-5 in games where they have just been rolled over. Expect the newly confident Yellow Jackets to get another confidence boost.
Prediction: Georgia Tech 27 Virginia 17
