Georgia Football Weekend 10/10/2015

Georgia Southern Eagle

Last weekend was rough for fans of football around the state. UGA found out that Nick Saban is tough to deal with even in what looks like a down year for him. Tech fans didn’t have it any better watching a 21 point lead at home go away to the Tarheels. At least the Eagles are still soaring high in Statesboro. This week there will some challenges for the local teams again.

Georgia Tech vs Clemson

GT vs Clemson

This week Georgia Tech heads to Death Valley to take on the Tigers of Clemson. Last year the Jackets rolled the Tigers 28-6 in Atlanta. Now the number 6 ranked team in the country is looking to return the favor against a team that has lost 3 straight games.

It’s not too early to say this isn’t the season that Tech fans had hoped for and this week it will get worse before it gets better. The only hope for the Jackets is if Clemson, well pulls a Clemson. Now that they are expected to do big things they flush it all down the toilet. As usual they boast an extremely talented team and have posted some solid wins already this season. If the Tigers fall I don’t think it will be this week.
Prediction: Clemson 37 Georgia Tech 19

Georgia vs Tennessee

UGAvsTEN

Last week Georgia found its 1st loss of the season and in the SEC. This week the road doesn’t get any easier for Mark Richt and company as they stroll up to Knoxville to battle their heated Eastern Division rivals the Volunteers. The bright side is that Tennessee has blown some games this year and having their own issues. The bad part of that is that they are underachieving and Butch Jones has created talented team up there.

The idea is that Georgia’s season can still be a success but they have to win the East and this is the first step. So far this season the Volunteers have proved they are not ready to the bright lights. If Georgia keeps it on the ground and forces Tennessee’s quarterback to have to make throws this game should go to the Dawgs.
Prediction: Georgia 27 Tennessee 14
